Organic ceremonial grade matcha green tea, grown in Japan. Camellia sinensis leaves are shade grown, which slows photosynthesis, concentrates chlorophyll and softens bitterness. Only the youngest buds are picked, dried, then ground into a fine powder of deep green.
This is the finest reference in the catalogue, made for preparation in the cup, with hot water, where the quality of the raw material is tasted directly. EGCG content of 2,070 mg per 100 g and caffeine content of 2,371 mg per 100 g, which is around 41 mg of EGCG and 47 mg of caffeine for a 2 g serving.
